  • Brown University is an Ivy League university located in Providence, Rhode Island.
  • Founded in 1764, it is the seventh-oldest university in the United States and one of the nine Colonial Colleges founded before the American Revolution.
  • Brown has an 8.7% acceptance rate with a total of 6, 264 undergraduate students as of October 2014.
  • Brown’s mascot is a bear named Bruno and their colors are brown, red, and white.
  • Brown has an open curriculum, which means that there are no required classes outside of your major - you can take anything you want!
  • 69% of undergraduate classes have fewer than 20 students.
  • Some famous alumni include Emma Watson, Tracee Ellis Ross, and John Krasinski.
